Welcome to Clare's Craft Centre
We opened our business in October 2015 and have enjoyed meeting many customers and students who have become regular visitors and friends
The craft centre has a small haberdashery shop, a crafting studio, a website and a Facebook page.
You can also find us on Twitter, Instagram, snap chat and Linkdin.
The main aim of the Craft Centre is to offer encouragement to learn in a safe, warm, relaxed and friendly environment.
We have several visiting tutors who provide workshops in various different crafting subjects. The studio seats up to 8 people so booking is essential. We also offer 1-2-1 for most subjects. The shop supports the classes by providing appropriate stock to allow students to continue their new hobby.
"I believe in the therapeutic benefits of crafting and the creation of art.
Sewing and creating craft projects have helped me to cope with many challenges in life as well as commemorate and celebrate life’s milestones.
I have produced gifts, keepsakes, heirlooms, competition entries and I’ve decorated my home with unique items which have provided a sense of achievement as well as instilling a sense of pride. Crafting has improved my confidence and self-esteem.
I have been fortunate to have family and friends who have nurtured my craft abilities but I believe that many people are unaware of their untapped potential." Author/Owner Clare Pugh
We welcome anyone who, just wants to browse or join us for a chat or ask for advice whether in person by phone or online.
